Sports Massage is a clinical based massage designed to enhance athletic performance and reduce recovery time. This modality can be used during training, pre or post competitions. Many different modalities of massage are used during a sports massage session including deep tissue, Swedish, compression/Thai, stretching, myofascia bodywork and STR. Heat and ice therapy can be used as well.

Deep Tissue is a technique that reaches into the deeper layers of muscle, and connective tissue to help relieve chronic pain, address past injuries and improve range of motion.

Soft Tissue Release involves using compression to a muscle or connective tissue while stretching, moving, pushing or pulling it. Using this modality can unlock what is called "muscle memory" and help lengthen and balance the soft tissues.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy is a form of barefoot effleurage, combining western science and a Asian flare. Lori will use parallel bars suspended from the ceiling for balance, control, and leverage. She will then use her feet instead of her hands to glide down the body for a firm to deep luxurious massage. Lori will have at least one foot on the table, unless the clients ask for a deep two footed massage. Please see www.deepfeet.com for more information.

Hot Stone Massage uses polished basalt stones that are warmed in hot water. A nourishing oil it used for the skin and the Hot Stones are glided in a Swedish style technique from head to toe. The stones are placed on pressure points, to help release soft tissue. Everyone seems to agree: "there is something about the warmth during a massage that just feels so nourishing, it really helps the body feel balanced". This massage can be use in combination with any of the other modalities.
